The painter and performance artist Evans Molina Fernandez was born in Havana, Cuba in 1976. In 2004 he immigrated to the US. Evans experiments with audio and video as well as live percussion music and dance. He has exhibited in various group and individual shows in Cuba, the US and Spain, among other countries.

Four years ago the project afrocubanevans was started to teach Cuban dance and make presentations of the Cuban culture in schools and various other venues.

Evans' most recent project is the creation of Gallery La Naive. At the gallery the multitude of different projects come together in one place.

The works are inspired by the relation between the human race, the modern world and its wars and the results of a nature supreme. By means of symbolic elements, strong line and colors that invoke different temperatures the Cuban culture and its emotions are expressed.
