DESCRIPTION
Bert Gallery at Corliss Landing was founded in 1985 and celebrates
its twenty-fourth year in business, promoting regional American
artists from the late 19th century to the present day. With exhibitions,
publications and lectures, the gallery has been a pioneer, featuring
those artists who have only begun to emerge from the shadows of
time. The works exhibited reflect the fertile artistic community
that existed in the late 19th-century Providence metropolis. It
was a community that nurtured many talented artists, who are now
taking their places in the register of our national heritage.
